KBS is throwing a free concert for Lee Seung-chul's 40th year in music. He joins Na Hun-ah (2020) and Cho Yong-pil (2025) in the broadcaster's Chuseok Grand Project lineup.

Lee Seung-chul will headline 2026 KBS Hangawi Grand Project — Your Life is a Never Ending Story, a free concert set for August 1 at 5 PM at Inspire Arena in Incheon. KBS made the announcement on June 16.
Forty years. He debuted in 1986 as the vocalist of rock band Buwal before going solo in 1988, and has since logged over 2,000 performances. The nickname stuck: "Emperor of Live."
His catalog includes Huiya, Don't Say Goodbye, Sonyeo Sidae, Banghwang, Oneuldo Nan, Inyeon, Seojeok Haneul, Geureon Saram Tto Eopseumnida, and Never Ending Story. That last one anchors the whole event.
Inspire Arena is South Korea's first performance-specialized arena, built with optimized sightlines and a world-class sound system. Every seat is free—KBS's public broadcaster mandate on display. The recorded live performance will air on KBS 2TV during the Chuseok holiday period.
The production team said the concert "will be a special stage to reminisce about the memories and emotions of the people who have walked with Lee Seung-chul's music."
This marks the third Chuseok Grand Project entry. Na Hun-ah got one in 2020. Cho Yong-pil in 2025. Now Lee Seung-chul.
