Oh Jung-se joins typhoon survival film, as Wild Things rolls into week 2

Oh Jung-se has confirmed his casting in Typhoon, directed by Lee Jung-ho. The film centers on a divorcing couple who announce their split at a funeral hall, then get caught in a massive typhoon and forced into a survival journey together. Han Ji-min, previously announced, plays Jae-i—a pragmatist with strong practical instincts. Koo Kyo-hwan has been offered the role of the husband, Jin-mo, and is still reviewing. Filming begins after major casting wraps.

Wild Things is now in its second week of promotions. The 107-minute comedy, directed by Son Jae-gon and starring Kang Dong-won, Park Ji-hyun, Eom Tae-gu, Oh Jung-se, and Shin Ha-gyun, carries a 12-and-up rating with no post-credits scene. Production cost 8 billion won. The break-even point sits at 2 million viewers. Audience scores: 8.62 on Naver, 9.1 on Lotte Cinema, 8.4 on Megabox, and 93% on the CGV Egg Index.

On June 12, director Son Jae-gon and actor Ahn Jae-hong appear at a "Laughter Chart" GV at Megabox Coex. June 13 brings stage greetings from Oh Jung-se and Son Jae-gon at Lotte Cinema World Tower, Megabox Coex, and CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall. That same day, a birthday screening for Oh's character Choi Sung-gon—born June 13, 1979 in the film's world—runs at Lotte Cinema World Tower and CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall, with photo cards, postcards, and paper cups for attendees. Oh sang "Ni-ga Jo-a," the film's earworm track, which has entered the Melon HOT100.
