Rothy kicks off 'FLAT' project with new single 'Don't Be' at new agency

Rothy (강주희, 26) posted a photo on June 21 holding a bright-colored electric guitar at a stage preparation venue. "It was more enjoyable together.." she wrote.

Five days earlier, she'd dropped Don't Be on June 16 across streaming platforms. The track launches FLAT, a new project that also marks her first release under a new agency. More singles are coming before the full EP arrives.

She debuted in 2017 with Stars. Her discography since includes mini albums Shape Of Rothy and COLOR OF ROTHY. Then came a string of singles: OCEAN VIEW (2020), COLD LOVE, 겨울..그다음 봄, Changed Number, and Diamond. In 2023 she released digital singles Something Casual and 너의 계절이 돌아올거야. She also contributed OST tracks—홀로 to the drama Doctor Cha Jeong-suk and Alive to Nam Nam. June 2024 brought the summer single Happy End.

A 2019 appearance on Mystery Music Show Mask King (episode 106, under the name '내 귀에 허니~ 꿀보이스') vaulted her into the mainstream. She made it to round 3 and finished runner-up, landing at No. 1 in real-time search rankings. Running Man and Jipsabu Ilche appearances followed. Her fandom, Blooming, has been there through it all.

With Don't Be out and FLAT rolling out, the next singles are what to follow.
