Rothy drops EP 'FLAT' with disco-pop title track 'Alphabet'
Rothy's five-track EP 'FLAT' arrives October 8, led by disco-pop title track 'Alphabet' — the only new song on the project.

Five tracks, one new song
Rothy's EP FLAT bundled four previously released singles — Don't Be, First Train, Sweetest, and Back to Me — with the new title track Alphabet.
She wrote lyrics on every track.
Disco-pop and a letter-by-letter crush
Alphabet is a disco-pop track built on a bouncy bass line and soft melody. The song follows the feeling of writing out emotions one letter at a time toward someone who keeps catching your attention. Producer HAHM handled composition and arrangement; HAHM and lyricist Jo Yun-kyung (조윤경) co-wrote the words alongside Rothy. Jo Yun-kyung has previously worked with Girls' Generation, Red Velvet, EXO, Tomorrow X Together, and RIIZE.
Ahead of the release, Rothy posted a music video teaser for Alphabet through her official SNS and YouTube channel.
Born in 1999, debuted in 2017
Rothy debuted in 2017 and has worked across multiple genres including R&B since then. (Nine years in and she's still penning every word herself — that's the detail worth clocking here.)
