Trot singer Shin Yu shared the stage with Japanese idol legend Kondo Masahiko in Seoul on June 27, performing a duet of the 1989 song "Noeul-ui Norae" plus a solo set.

Shin Yu was a guest at Kondo Masahiko's first solo concert in Korea on June 27 at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The show: Masahiko Kondo ∼ Oh맛치합니다 2026! Special in Seoul.
They'd crossed paths before. Both judged Han-Il Gawangjeon Japan Round on Fuji TV in 2025. Kondo had already been building a Korean fanbase since his 2024 turn on MBN's Han-Il Top Ten Show.
On stage, Shin Yu and Kondo dueted on Noeul-ui Norae (夕焼けの歌), a 1989 Kondo release. Shin Yu then performed solo with Nabbeun Namja ("Bad Man"), one of his signature tracks.
Kondo is a fixture in Japanese idol history. His 1984 hit Gingira Gin ni Sarigenaku (ギンギラギンにさりげなく) cemented his status as a living legend of the Japanese idol world.
Shin Yu's next move: the trot-based jukebox musical Jeonkuk Norae Jarang in July. He's stepping in as a full musical actor, not a guest performer—a completely different role. The production adapts the long-running TV program of the same name.
