BTOB's Lee Minhyuk (HUTA) drops self-written single 'TEMPERATURE' with 3-track Afro House and Industrial Hip-hop set

BTOB main rapper Lee Minhyuk, 35, released TEMPERATURE on July 15 under his solo alias HUTA. His agency BTOB Company had teased it with coming-soon graphics and videos posted July 1 and 2.

The album explores "expressing emotions through temperature" across three tracks. Lee Minhyuk wrote and composed all of them.

Title track Icy & Spicy rides a fast-tempo Afro House beat with heavy bass and brass. The hook cuts straight to it: "엔진은 타올라 Boiling in the car / 내 심장은 차가워 I'm an icy driver." Cold and heat. That's the whole thing.

KO shifts hard into Industrial Hip-hop—rock's explosive punch mixed with hip-hop groove. The inspiration came from a bilingual joke: UFC fighter Go Seok-hyun's surname "고" and the boxing term "K.O. (Knockout)" sound identical in Korean. The bars read like a round-by-round fight call: "땀방울 후두두둑 떨어져 주르르륵 / 전진 압박 거리 조절 카운터 한 방." A special KO (Rush Ver.) closes the set at an even faster clip.

Lee Minhyuk teased the concept on the 16th with a social media post tagged "Icy_Spicy," leaning into that cold-heat duality.

The release comes after a European tour. His 2026 LEE MINHYUK(HUTA) EUROPE TOUR 'HOOK - WHO : KING' wrapped stops in Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, Madrid, and London—following earlier dates in Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, and Bangkok.

Lee Minhyuk debuted with BTOB in 2012 on 비밀 (Insane). The group includes Seo Eunkwang, Lee Changsub, Lim Hyunsik, Peniel, and Yook Sungjae. His solo work spans the 2019 album HUTAZONE (title track YA), the 2022 album BOOM, digital single 알아 (Good Night), and Japanese mini-album 夏の日記 (Summer Diary). He also hosted KBS Radio's BTOB's Kiss the Radio from November 1, 2021 to June 4, 2023, taking home the 2022 KBS Entertainment Awards DJ of the Year.
