HBO Max premieres *Fired Up!*, a 12-episode Taiwanese adaptation of the webtoon *Itaewon Class*, on July 31. Kao Pin-chuan and Tseng Ying-ting co-direct; DaMou Entertainment produces.

Fired Up! lands on HBO Max July 31. The Taiwanese series adapts webtoonist Gwangjin's Itaewon Class, relocating the story to a Taiwanese setting with local characters.
Eric Chou stars as a young man trying to save his family's restaurant after his father dies. Angela Yuen, Shao Yu-wei, and Wang Shih-hsien round out the cast.
All 12 episodes premiere July 31, then roll out weekly. Kao Pin-chuan and Tseng Ying-ting co-direct. DaMou Entertainment produced.
Chou didn't just act. He wrote, composed, and performed the ending theme Shells. (Not every remake gets a lead who also does the OST.)
Itaewon Class started as a JTBC drama in 2020 and found a big international audience. Japan's TV Asahi made Roppongi Class in 2022. Fired Up! is the second overseas remake of the webtoon and another example of Korean IP getting localized across Asia.
