Go Yun-jung is set to play Ae-ryeong, a sword-wielding warrior, in *Nambul*, a hard-boiled martial arts film opposite Lee Byung-hun. Shooting targets the second half of 2026.

Go Yun-jung has signed on for Nambul, a hard-boiled martial arts action film set in early Joseon. She plays Ae-ryeong, a woman whose family is killed in a Japanese pirate raid. She picks up a sword to rescue her younger sibling, held captive on Tsushima Island. Lee Byung-hun plays Im Eok, leader of nine warriors tasked with sailing to Tsushima to free prisoners taken by Japanese pirates. The nine fighters come from different social ranks and bring different abilities to the mission.
Lee Mo-gae directs. The cinematographer is making his feature directorial debut after shooting Seoul Spring, Exhuma, Hunt, The Opposition, and Emergency Declaration. He won the Art Award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. He also took home the Blue Dragon Cinematography & Lighting Award at the 43rd and 37th ceremonies, plus the Blue Dragon Cinematography Award at the 31st and 29th.
Hive Media Corp is producing. The company previously made Seoul Spring, Harbin, Deliver Us from Evil, The Man Standing Next, Inside Men, and the Disney+ series Made in Korea. Principal photography is targeted for the second half of 2026. Pre-production is currently underway.
Go Yun-jung recently appeared in Sweet Home, Alchemy of Souls, Moving, Resident Playbook, Interpreters, Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness, and the film Hunt.
