Hwang Chansung of 2PM sat on a panel at the 2026 K Forum on July 9 to discuss AI-generated ads and what it means when an artist becomes their own IP.

Hwang Chansung (황찬성) took the stage at the 2026 K Forum on July 9 at Conrad Seoul Grand Ballroom in Yeouido as a panelist discussing how artists and artificial intelligence are reshaping each other.
The 35-year-old singer-actor—best known as Chansung of 2PM, the group that includes JUN. K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, and Junho—reflected on what AI means for his own work. "An era has come where advertisements are made even without me filming directly," he said. Then he sharpened the point: "It seems like an era is coming where I myself become an IP." His plan is to solidify that IP through more iconic work ahead.
The timing of the panel appearance follows a full year. Last year he released DAWN, his first Japanese full-length album, and toured Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo behind it. On screen, he recently appeared in Netflix original series Hunting Dogs 2 (사냥개들2), playing Tae-geom, the right-hand man to main villain Baek-jeong in a story about a global illegal boxing league. He won a dance sports competition program. Earlier in his career he appeared in the sitcom Unstoppable High Kick (거침없이 하이킥).
Chansung is married to a non-celebrity spouse and has a daughter born in 2022. He also has a cat named Jeonggam (정감).
