Ji Yeon-su raises son alone in 15-pyeong home, works gomtang restaurant shifts after Eli divorce

Ji Yeon-su gave viewers a tour of her roughly 15-pyeong duplex on July 6, posting the video "지연수 홀로서기 첫 집 공개!!!" to her YouTube channel 연수롭다.

She moved back to the mainland from Jeju Island after her mother was diagnosed with cancer. "I found out she was diagnosed with cancer, so I quickly wrapped things up and came up," she said. "I wanted to live closer to my mother." Two years on Jeju Island preceded the move. She's been in the current home for about two years now.

Friends who visit keep asking how everything fits inside such a small space. Ji Yeon-su's answer: she finds it comfortable. The tiny kitchen is where she cooks three meals a day for her son Minsu. Upstairs doubles as what she calls a lounge, where the two of them watch videos of their favorite singers together.

She acknowledged the anxiety of showing the space publicly. "I was worried you might think, 'How can you raise a child in such a small place?'" she said, adding that children grow well anywhere with love and asking viewers to watch without judgment.

She works part-time at a gomtang restaurant, preferring morning-to-lunch shifts so she can take care of Minsu in the afternoons. She has previously stated she receives 850,000 won per month in child support, calling it "far from enough."

Ji Yeon-su married Eli of U-KISS in 2014. He is 11 years her junior. Their son Minsu was born before the couple divorced in 2020.
