Jin was photographed in a makeup room with staff on July 24. The image surfaced as BTS pushes through the ARIRANG world tour, hitting major venues including Madrid, Spain.
The tour follows BTS's March 20 release of ARIRANG, their fifth full-length album. The group performed the comeback live at Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul, debuting new tracks like Normal, a rock-inflected album cut. Busan dates at the Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13 came next before the tour went international.
For Jin, the ARIRANG cycle marks his first full group comeback since completing mandatory military service. He served as a sergeant in the Army 5th Infantry Division from December 13, 2022 to June 12, 2024. The discharge date landing exactly on the Busan concert's first night didn't go unnoticed by fans. Before enlisting, he dropped the solo single The Astronaut in 2022. His solo work also includes mini-albums Happy and Echo, plus free digital singles 이 밤 and Abyss.
Jin holds the sub-vocal position in BTS and debuted with the group through the single 2 COOL 4 SKOOL in 2013. Off stage, he runs EAT JIN, a personal content series built around mukbang and cooking.
