Ju Sang-wook's villain goes full rampage in 'Director Kim' episodes 7-8

SBS Friday-Saturday drama Director Kim aired episodes 7 and 8 on the 17th and 18th. Ju Sang-wook's Ju Gang-chan, a construction company chairman who clawed his way up from hired muscle, finally dropped the act entirely.
The episodes handed Gang-chan some of the series' sharpest dialogue. He ordered his subordinate Nam Sil-jang (Lee Dong-ha) to track down targets: "Bring both of them. I need to confirm the ending with my own eyes." Later, speaking to his daughter Ju Hye-ri in a moment quieter but equally menacing, he said, "Don't apologize to dad. Say thank you instead."
It doesn't end there. Gang-chan approaches a North Korean figure with two requests that feel designed to detonate the plot. "Please let me cut off that bastard's last breath myself." And: "I have a good idea. Let's make this bigger." A villain asking to escalate things with two episodes left rarely ends well for anyone involved.
Director Kim airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM on SBS.
