KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya and actress Tanaka Minami announce marriage and pregnancy

KAT-TUN member Kamenashi Kazuya and actress Tanaka Minami announced their marriage and pregnancy on June 29, posting simultaneously to their respective SNS accounts. "We will cherish our family and show growth as actors and artists with a sense of responsibility," they wrote.

Their responses differed sharply over the next few days. On July 4, Kamenashi hosted his radio show Kamenashi Kazuya no Kou Auto as scheduled. When a guest remarked, "There's a happy scent — what happened?" he replied "Thank you" and moved on. Tanaka re-recorded her own radio segment that same day specifically to address the news in her own voice, saying she had originally prepared other content but wanted to deliver this update directly.

July 5 brought a handwritten letter from her: "Until now it was just me and my dog, but now a new family member is coming. It feels like a life I couldn't have imagined will unfold."

The announcement came just two days after Kamenashi's solo concert ticket sales opened. That concert is scheduled for July 16.

Kamenashi joined Johnny's Entertainment in 1998 and made his official debut in 2006 as part of KAT-TUN, which was formed in 2001. Tanaka is a former TBS announcer whose acting credits include Oshi no Ko (최애), Fake Mommy (페이크 마미), Barakamon (바라카몬), and About a Villainess (악녀에 대하여).
