The 38-year-old debuted in co-ed group WE in 2011 after five years at JYP, and has since added Netflix credits, a boxing gym, and a web drama to her resume.

Kang So-yeon, 38, has been making the rounds on social media after sharing photos from a Jeju Island trip with her eight-year-old dog Coby. "It wasn't easy to decide to travel to Jeju with Coby," she wrote, "but seeing how happy Coby was made me think it was so right to come." She also thanked a companion named Hyemin for spending the post-filming downtime with her before a sunset they caught together. "I need to go back to Seoul and live hard again."
The trip is a brief pause in what has been a genuinely varied career. Kang So-yeon first appeared on broadcast in 2006 as a participant on SBS Superstar Survival. She then spent roughly five years as a JYP Entertainment trainee before debuting in 2011 as a member of co-ed group WE, performing under the name Roji.
Since then she has moved steadily across formats. On June 22, 2022, she released the single Loca Loca. She served as MC on the JTBC GOLF channel. Netflix brought her on for Solo Hell and Physical: 100 Season 2. She also took on acting through the web drama Daytime Is Night Office. Running a boxing gym called HITFIT on top of all that is, admittedly, a lot.
Kang So-yeon operates HITFIT, her boxing gym, alongside her entertainment work.
