Comedian Kim Gyu-won makes his serious drama debut as Kkun-ddung-i, a gentle giant opposite Ji Sung, in JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Apartment.'

Kim Gyu-won's first serious drama role arrived when JTBC's Apartment premiered on July 11 and 12.
He plays Kkun-ddung-i. An imposing frame houses an emotionally sensitive, tearful, endlessly curious personality—the kind of contrast that tends to run away with scenes. Critics and viewers already tagged him a scene stealer after just those two episodes.
Apartment follows Park Hae-gang (Ji Sung), a former Oasis faction boss who runs for his building's residents' council chairmanship hunting for hidden money inside the complex. He ends up working alongside residents to root out corruption. Kim Yun-young wrote it. Jo Yong-won directed. SLL and Red Nine Pictures produced.
Kim Gyu-won debuted officially in 2023 through Comedy Big League, then joined Coupang Play's SNL Korea as a new crew member. He runs a personal YouTube channel called Dwae-sae Kim Gyu-won (돼새김규원). Sketch comedy to a JTBC prime-time drama in under three years is a sharp pivot.
Apartment airs Saturdays at 10:40 PM and Sundays at 10:30 PM on JTBC.
