Lee Chan-won's "Oneuleun Waenji" MV hits 4M views; album sells 543K copies in 2 days

Lee Chan-won's Oneuleun Waenji music video crossed 4 million views. Another win in what's shaping up as a strong album cycle.

The second full-length moved 543,404 copies in its first two days on sale. That's three consecutive half-million sales records for Lee Chan-won.

Oneuleun Waenji marks his first country-pop venture. His entire career had been rooted in trot. Jo Young-soo and Roy Kim both worked on the album. The title track hit first place on MBC Music Core on November 1—his birthday.

(Three half-million records running from a trot artist pivoting to country-pop doesn't happen often.)
