Lee Si-gang posted in Korean and Japanese after opening night of his second Japanese stage production, which runs through July 19 at Eco Theater in Ebisu.

Lee Si-gang made it through opening night. On July 12, the actor confirmed that the first performance of 丸裸刑事 PURPLE EDITION at Eco Theater in Ebisu, Tokyo went smoothly.
"My second Japanese play.. The first performance ended safely," he wrote in Korean. "I was moved by the praise from journalists.. Thank you to the fans who came. I will do my best in the remaining performances."
He posted again in Japanese: "This is my second Japanese stage, but I want to do my best until the very end, so please wait and see until the end."
The production runs July 11–19 at Eco Theater and is produced by Yuta Ozawa (오자와 유타) of theater company EXILE. Lee had previously appeared in Korean stage production 헤이그 (Hague) before moving into Japanese theater.
On the drama side, he played Jang Ki-yoon in KBS 2TV daily drama 우아한 제국 (Elegant Empire), which aired from October 2023 to January 2024. Earlier credits include 역전의 마드모아젤 and 퍼스트 레이디.
Before acting, Lee was a soccer player through university — he was noted as a junior to national team player Lim Sang-hyup (임상협). He had a badminton career before that. Golf, tennis, soccer, MMA, and horseback riding remain part of his routine. (The athlete-to-actor pipeline is real.) He appeared multiple times in men's magazine Men's Health in 2021.
After the play closes, Lee heads to Studio K in Koenji, Tokyo for イ・シガン Talk&Live 2026 Summer — a multi-date live event mixing acting, music, and Japanese-language talk. Dates are July 25–26, August 8–9, and August 21 and 23.
