MODYSSEY wins KM SPOTLIGHT at KMA 2026, adding to debut-year award run

MODYSSEY picked up the KM SPOTLIGHT award at KMA 2026 on July 25 at Hwajung Gymnasium, Korea University, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. The ceremony, hosted by KM Chart and KM Chart World and organized by the KMA Organizing Committee and UPICK, ran from 6:30 PM.

Two awards in one year. The seven-member group — Hengwei, Panzheyi, Lizhao, Linlin, Surun, Yichen, and Rowan — had already taken the Global Rookie Award at the 2026 Seoul Music Awards.

Their debut single 1.Got Hooked : An Addictive Symphony crossed 300,000 copies in initial sales. They held a fan signing event in Shanghai and a fan event in Japan, then performed at Bilibili World 2026 in China. KCON LA 2026 comes next.

"Just debuting itself was something to be grateful for, and we are even more grateful to receive such a meaningful award," the members said. "This moment was possible because of our fans' support."

KMA 2026 drew 15 performing acts: Tomorrow X Together, ZEROBASEONE, P1Harmony, 82MAJOR, UNIS, and Longshot among them. Actors Kang Tae-oh and Won Ji-an hosted their first K-pop awards ceremony since debut. Byeon Woo-seok, who rose to global recognition through the drama Lovely Runner and participated in its OST, attended as a presenter. The Fan's Choice category — decided by 100% fan voting and announced on July 24 — went to Tomorrow X Together, UNIS, and Longshot. The show streamed globally on Hello Live, aired live on ABEMA in Japan, and ran on delay on MBC M.
