Park Jin Young reveals 20-year daily routine and new Waterbomb anthem 'WET' on MBC's All the Butlers

Episode 408 of MBC's 전지적 참견 시점 (All the Butlers) aired July 25 at 11:10 PM and recorded a 2.0% rating in the 2054 demographic. It ranked first among entertainment programs in its time slot. The moment Park Jin Young demonstrated his self-invented "artificial hair parting" technique hit a per-minute peak of 4.6%.

In his 32nd year since debut, Park Jin Young called himself "a veteran singer with the heart of a rookie." He said, "When I appear on broadcasts, I still get nervous and excited." His career felt like "always unrequited love for a long-distance relationship."

His daily routine hasn't changed in over 20 years. Organic breakfast. Twenty English words memorized. A foot massage for his dog Hodoo. Ninety minutes of exercise. Vocal practice. He owns only two sets of clothes per season and uses the artificial hair parting he designed to save time. He has two daughters.

Waterbomb invited him back this year. He teased a mesh stage costume and released WET on July 23 as the festival's official theme song. "Reggaeton music with a Latin American sound that perfectly matches the heat of summer," he said. "The message is to play so hard your whole body is drenched in sweat." He demonstrated the track's signature point dance on the show.

On company culture: his organic cafeteria and employee benefits cost tens of billions annually. "I earned money to do that," he said simply. Every employee addresses him as "Park Jin Young" rather than by title. "If they called me CEO or Chairman, I don't think I could dance," he explained. He also met with rookie girl group Our Velvet Day and told them, "Compare yourself to last year's you, not to others." He hopes they become singers who last long rather than just reach the top.

Actor Kim A Young, currently unaffiliated with any agency, also appeared. She prepared for her first theatrical production, The Merchant of Venice, by meditating each morning to simulate her character's emotions. She memorizes lines while doing handstands and practices pronunciation with a straw in her mouth. Her older brother Kim Taek Young serves as her manager—he has taken on package handling, arcade shop part-time work, and demolition jobs to repay debt, then opened a cafe to support her comeback. Kim A Young successfully completed her first stage performance. Senior actors Park Geun Hyung, Shin Goo, Lee Sang Yoon, and Won Jin Ah attended to cheer her on. Host Yang Se Hyung summed it up: "It feels like we're broadcasting with two eccentric people."

Next week's episode will show Park Jin Young visiting the Blue House in his role as chairman of the Public Culture Exchange Committee.
