Son Dong-pyo to part ways with DSP Media in August, enters free agency

Son Dong-pyo is leaving DSP Media. His exclusive contract with the label expires in August after both sides agreed against renewal.

He debuted in 2019 as a member of X1 (엑스원), the project group formed through Mnet's Produce X 101. When X1 ended, he re-debuted in 2021 under DSP Media as part of boy group 미래소년 (Mirae Sonyeon).

On his own, he released digital single 파도(2024) in 2024. March of last year brought Stally (스텔리), his first self-composed track. He also won the Rising Star Award at the 2023 SBS Entertainment Awards.

Next up: finding a new agency and charting his course forward across music and entertainment work.
