New (Choi Chan-hee) says he wasn't properly informed about the lawsuit. He's also calling his agency's announcement about staying with One Hundred Label false.

THE BOYZ main vocalist New (Choi Chan-hee, 27) directly contradicted his agency's version of events in an ongoing contract dispute. On June 1, he posted on a fan communication platform: the claim that he had decided to stay with One Hundred Label after sufficient discussion "is not true."
New said he never received official documents or adequate information about the company lawsuit and its specific circumstances. He only learned what was happening after the other members sent a content-certified mail while preparing for the lawsuit.
Nine other members of THE BOYZ—Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric—had already notified One Hundred Label of contract termination. New stands alone in not joining that group action.
He's one of three main vocalists in THE BOYZ alongside Sangyeon and Kevin. New debuted with the group on December 6, 2017 through mini album 1 THE FIRST. Since then he's contributed songwriting to the special single Candles and two tracks on mini album 7 BE AWARE—BUMP & LOVE and TIMELESS. He performed the Business Proposal drama OST Part 9 봄바람처럼 날 찾아와 and most recently played Romeo in the musical Romeo and Juliet, which ran from March 20 to May 31, 2026.
(The agency has not publicly responded to New's June 1 statement.)
