THE BOYZ Q drops first solo single 'Anytime' tied to MBC Plus drama role

THE BOYZ member Q (Ji Chang-min) released his first solo single, Anytime, on July 9, dropping the audio and music video simultaneously.

The track exists in two worlds at once. In the MBC Plus drama 최애 데뷔 (My Idol, My Debut), Q's character Han Jae-ha—a high school student—writes Anytime as an original composition. The song's central lyric, "이 노래 들었다면 내게 와줘" ("If you heard this song, come to me"), carries that in-universe backstory into the actual release.

Teaser content pushed Q's official SNS account past 40,000 followers before the single even dropped. He also left a handwritten Polaroid message for fans: "Anytime 싱글 많은 사랑 부탁드립니다!:)"

최애 데뷔 premieres July 16 at 11:30 PM on MBC Drama Net and Japanese OTT platform Lemino, with sequential releases to follow on MBC M, Wavve, TVING, and WATCHA. The drama is directed by Han Geum-bi, written by Choi Yeon-su, and produced by Minari Entertainment. Its premise: a devoted fan travels back eight years to become an idol trainee and prevent a tragic accident—a time-slip coming-of-age story that ties Q's real-world solo debut directly to his character's arc on screen.
