WDF 2026 runs August 13–16 at Seoul COEX Auditorium, with a Liberation Day gala show 'LIGHT ON 815' on August 15.

Around 2,000 dancers from 18 countries will converge on Seoul's COEX Auditorium from August 13 to 16 for WDF 2026. The four-day global youth dance festival is co-organized by Prompttown and the Korean Dance Federation (KDO). Including families, instructors, and spectators, total attendance is projected at approximately 7,000.
The program spans international dance competitions, country-specific showcases, K-pop performances, street dance programs, workshops, and an awards ceremony.
The headline addition this year is LIGHT ON 815, a special gala show scheduled for August 15 — Korea's Liberation Day. Its slogan: "Freedom Takes the Floor" (자유가 무대에 오르는 밤). The show reinterprets the meaning of Liberation Day through K-culture performances. "Through the special gala show LIGHT ON 815 on Liberation Day, we want to share the meaning of Liberation Day with participants from around the world and express the values of freedom and culture on stage," a Prompttown official said.
WDF has been running for 15 years across major Asian cities including Seoul, Singapore, and Bali, Indonesia. Prompttown describes the event as "a global dance and K-culture event that has grown together with domestic and international participants over the past 15 years."
Organizers plan to expand WDF to Dubai and Singapore.
