The SBS Friday-Saturday drama sequel arrives August 7, with An Bo-hyun back as Jin Yi-soo and Jung Eun-chae joining as a new lead.

Chaebol X Detective 2 premieres August 7 on SBS as a Friday-Saturday drama.
Season 1 aired in 2024 and peaked at 11% viewership by Nielsen Korea's Seoul metropolitan area standard. That was enough to get Season 2 greenlit while Season 1 was still running, landing the show in SBS's established multi-season drama lineup.
An Bo-hyun returns as Jin Yi-soo, the chaebol third-generation detective who uses his wealth and connections to take down criminals. In Season 2, Yi-soo graduates top of his police academy class and becomes a full-fledged detective—a far cry from the reckless heir he played in Season 1.
Jung Eun-chae joins as Joo Hye-ra, a violent crimes team leader with a counter-terrorism background. The two have history. Hye-ra was a temporary instructor at the police academy when Yi-soo trained there, and she ran him through brutal drills. Season 2 will expand the scale of its cases and ramp up the visuals compared to the first season.
An Bo-hyun is doing the promotional circuit. He appears on YouTube channel Yojeong Jaehyung's corner Yojeong Siktak on August 2, then SBS variety show Running Man that same evening. A YouTube appearance on Urban Zakapa's Jo Hyun-ah's channel Jo Hyun-ah's Ordinary Thursday Night is scheduled for August 6.
