EVNNE win Korean Wave Special Award after 25-city world tour and two music show wins

EVNNE picked up the Korean Wave Special Award at the 8th Newsis Korean Wave Expo on August 28 at The Grand Lotte Seoul Crystal Ballroom in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Their 5th mini album LOVE ANECDOTE(S), released in August 2025, anchors the recognition. Title track How Can I Do earned two first-place wins on music broadcasts—the kind of result that makes an award feel earned rather than handed out.

The year was packed. EVNNE launched their first single Backtalk (뱉어) on April 20, holding in-person fan events in Tokyo and Osaka to mark the release. The single also features the b-side STAY. Then came the 2025 EVNNE CONCERT [SET N GO] tour. Ten major Asian cities. Ten cities across the Americas. Five cities in Europe. Twenty-five cities total.

In their acceptance remarks, the group said: "It is an honor to receive the Korean Wave Special Award where people who create Korean Wave together have gathered." They also credited their fandom, ENV, and Jellyfish Entertainment staff by name.

"I think this award is given as a meaning to work harder," they added, "and we will continue to make efforts to promote the charm of K-pop."
