PLAVE's first EDM title track takes the trophy
PLAVE claimed 1st place on MBC's Show! Music Core on October 24 with "Star Trace," their first EDM-based dance pop title track since debut. The song scored 8,299 total points. Music source and album contributed 4,805, video and broadcast 994, pre-vote 1,500, and live vote 1,000. A2O LITE's "NEON" finished second with 6,676 points. NCT WISH's "I SPY" came in third at 5,813.
"Star Trace" explores cosmic love, trust, and connection with fans. The win arrived 11 days after HYPERDRIVE dropped on October 13.
1.32 million copies and counting
HYPERDRIVE posted first-week Hanteo Chart sales of 1,322,973 copies. That clears the 1.25 million mark their previous mini-album Caligo Pt.2 set, securing consecutive million-seller status for the virtual idol group.
PLAVE also topped StarTrend's K-POP group daily vote with 237,501 votes—a sign of how hard the fandom pushed this comeback.
The broadcast
NMIXX members Bae, Jiwoo, and Sullyoon hosted the October 24 episode as special MCs. Bae said: "It was an honor to be able to do the Music Core special MC once more after such a long time."
Sullyoon said she was happy to return and asked to be invited back. Jiwoo noted it was her second time hosting with Sullyoon and Bae, and she planned to have fun. Three NMIXX members on one stage felt like a win for fans of both groups.
