Geum Dong-ho's 82-minute fantasy follows Mita, a singer-songwriter who sees spirits, as she forms a band with four ghosts to chase their dream concert stage.

Ghost Band hits Lotte Cinema exclusively on August 26. Directed by Geum Dong-ho, the 82-minute film has no post-credit scene.
Mita is a singer-songwriter who can see spirits. She recruits four ghosts—Guitar Hai, Keyboard Jangmi, Drum Beat, and Bass Jiji—and together they work toward a dream concert stage. Billed as a fantasy K-pop animation, the film uses Seoul locations like Nakwon Arcade to ground its fantasy world in recognizable geography.
Yoon Sang composed the score. Early on, his song Dalliги ("Running") gets rearranged for the band, and the soundtrack adds two new tracks: Dear Star and Yonggi-reul Naebolge. Gyeongeo provides all of Mita's vocals.
(Korean animation had a packed August. Sarangeui Hachuphing: Gorae Bogseok-ui Jeonseol, the second film in SAMG Entertainment's three-part Catch! Teenieping theatrical trilogy, opened August 5 and pulled 700,000 admissions through the 18th. Its 2024 predecessor drew 1.24 million. Gil Wie-ui Mungchi reunited The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly directors Oh Sung-yoon and Lee Chun-baek 15 years later, opening August 19 with Do Kyung-soo, Park So-dam, and Park Cheol-min in the cast and 145,440 frames completed by a 178-person crew.)
