Hong Sung-yoon, third-place finalist on Miss Trot 4, drops a digital single fusing Korean traditional music with disco on August 20.
Hong Sung-yoon releases her new digital single 봉이로구나 today at 6 PM across major streaming platforms.
Korean traditional music meets disco rhythm on the track. Her gayageum byeongchang training started in middle school and eventually landed her third place on TV Chosun's Miss Trot 4, where judges noted her vocal control and stage presence. Now she's threading that classical foundation through a disco beat—a hard pivot, not a soft one.
She's touring the country for Miss Trot 4's nationwide concert run. 봉이로구나 arrives during that stretch. Hong has said the release sharpens her musical identity going forward.
(Gayageum byeongchang—singing while playing the gayageum—is a demanding traditional Korean art form, so the disco collision here is deliberate.)
