JENNIE becomes first Korean female solo artist to headline Lollapalooza

JENNIE headlined the Bud Light main stage at Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 on August 1 (local time). She became the first Korean female solo artist to hold that spot at the festival. The set ran approximately one hour at Grant Park, Chicago, on the event's third day.

Eighteen songs. A live band. The setlist pulled from her solo album Ruby—'Mantra', 'Seoul City', 'Starlight', 'ExtraL'—and closed with 'like JENNIE'. She also performed 'Less than a Lover', her recently released single, for the first time live. Four previously unreleased tracks debuted that night: 'Sweet Tooth', 'Fallen Angel', 'Lock It Down', and 'Heaven'.

Chicago Sun-Times singled out 'Mantra', 'ExtraL', and 'like JENNIE' as highlights, noting that the closing track explained why she'd been chosen as headliner. Rolling Stone Philippines said the set demonstrated her range—from her BLACKPINK catalog through Ruby—and that she's grown into someone capable of leading a large festival on her own.

Lollapalooza, which launched in 1991, draws over 400,000 attendees across eight stages and around 170 artist acts. It's the largest festival in North America.

After the show, JENNIE posted: "my first lollapalooza night a big thank you to my team who made this special night possible." She added that the night "will live in my heart forever."

Four surprise unreleased drops in one set is not nothing. JENNIE is next scheduled to perform at Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan.
