Jeon Yu-jin tops Trotpick female chart with 236,990 points in August week-4 vote

Jeon Yu-jin took first place in Trotpick's female singer category for August 24–30, pulling 236,990 points. The trot-star voting platform dropped the results on August 31.

Born in 2006, Jeon debuted in 2020 with digital single 사랑…하시렵니까? after competing through the Pohang Beach National Song Festival. She came runner-up in the finals of KBS2's 노래가 좋아 trot special, then won the 2024 MBN 현역가왕 championship outright. That victory led to a commemorative mini-album Only You (온리유) and a spot on the 2024 현역가왕 national tour concert. For the follow-up season 현역가왕2, she switched sides as a judge. Since signing with J-Label in October of last year, she has released OST 그대도 나처럼 for KBS2 weekend drama 독수리 5형제를 부탁해! (her first OST), a July duet single 이제 내가 지킬게요 with Son Tae-jin, and new tracks 어린 잠 and 가요 가요.

Jin Hae-sung (진해성) won the male category with 686,390 points—nearly triple Jeon's total. The 1990-born singer debuted in 2012 with first album 내 사랑 받아줘. He took Best New Male Singer at the 23rd Korea Entertainment Arts Awards, won KBS 2TV survival show 트롯 전국체전, and placed 3rd on TV CHOSUN 미스터트롯2 with the song 美. He finished 2nd in 현역가왕2 last February. His recent releases include 愛人 (One's Love) from August of last year and No Wonder in November. He was also named cover model for the inaugural issue of global K-trot magazine 트롯티어.

Kim Ui-young (김의영) won the Spotlight Star category (100th round) at 30,970 points. Weekly winners get an online article. The top finisher across each of the four weekly rounds earns a Seodaemun digital billboard support slot.

Round 101 runs August 31 to September 6. The five candidates are Kim Gyeong-min, Jung Da-han, Lee Su-ho, Miss Kim, and Yo-Yo-Mi.
