Ji Ye-eun opens up about boyfriend Bata: met at church, he quit drinking and smoking for his faith

Ji Ye-eun sat down on SBS Misunderstood Our Kids on August 23 to talk publicly about her relationship with Bata for the first time since their agency confirmed the news.

Both born in 1994, they met at church. "At first we were friends," she said. "After worship, we talked like 'How did you hear the sermon today?' and became close." She was quick to clarify she didn't make the first move: "I'm a proud woman. Women don't confess first."

Why she's into him? "He's such a great person — I wonder if men like this still exist these days." One detail stood out: Bata originally drank and smoked, but after developing his faith, he quit completely. "It's hard to find someone who doesn't drink or smoke these days," she noted. He's also learning to cook because she can't.

Co-star Tak Jae-hun said he wants to have a meal with Bata and ask him directly: "Can you take responsibility for Ye-eun going forward?" Ji Ye-eun fired back without hesitation. "Why would he meet me if he can't take responsibility?"

The relationship became public in April, when dating rumors surfaced. Her agency C.P Entertainment confirmed: "The two people who have been colleagues have good feelings for each other and are meeting. We ask for your warm support."
