KiiiKiii throw first pitch at Angel Stadium, drop mini album 'WhyKiiiKiii' same day
KiiiKiii performed at Head In The Clouds LA 2026 on Aug. 8, threw out the first pitch at Angel Stadium two days later — the same day their 3rd mini album dropped.
KiiiKiii packed two days in Southern California with a festival set and an MLB first pitch, all timed to the release of their third mini album.
On August 8 (local time), the group — Jiyu, Isol, Sui, Haeun, and Kiya — performed at Head In The Clouds LA 2026 at Rose Bowl Brookside in Pasadena, California. Two days later they were at Angel Stadium in Anaheim for the LA Angels vs. Texas Rangers game, where member Kiya threw the ceremonial first pitch. She received a signed baseball from Angels pitcher Blake Weiman afterward. The full group took photos with Weiman and Angels legend Mike Trout.
That same day, KiiiKiii released WhyKiiiKiii, their 3rd mini album. Title track Pop Off Pop Off hit #1 on YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide right after the MV dropped. By August 12 at 10 AM, the album had climbed to #27 on Melon TOP100 and topped the Bugs real-time chart. On iTunes Top K-pop Music Album, WhyKiiiKiii reached #1 in France, the Netherlands, and Australia, landing in the top 10 across 13 countries total — the US, UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Brazil, and Turkey included.
KiiiKiii debuted in March 2025. The group is set to continue promoting through music broadcasts and additional content. (Debut-year-to-MLB-stadium in under 18 months is a timeline worth clocking.)
