Lee Chan-won charts twice in one week on variety show internet rankings

Lee Chan-won landed in the top 10 of the August 1–9 male variety cast internet response analysis. He ranked 8th via KBS 2TV's Pyeon-Storang and 21st via Celebrity Soldier's Secret—two placements in the same weekly TOP30 that drew attention on their own.

The Pyeon-Storang episode that drove the 8th-place result aired August 6. Lee Chan-won trained under Chef Yoon Na-ra (윤나라), who finished in the TOP5 of Netflix's Black and White Chef 2, learning recipes including hwangtae haejangguk and musaengchae. After tasting the finished dishes, he said "it's on a different level." The segment clearly landed.

Elderly fans who greeted him on set piled on the praise: "Chan-won, you cook well too. What can't you do?" He deflected with "I have many things I can't do." One fan then revealed she had tracked all 23 advertisements he has filmed to date, leaving him visibly caught off guard: "I didn't know that either…"

Lee Chan-won currently holds MC duties on KBS2's Immortal Songs and Celebrity Soldier's Secret. He also hosts JTBC's Talk Reporter 25 and MBC's Surprise Mystery Salon. Starting January 2027, he joins Seo Jang-hoon as MC for tvN Story's upcoming Sangsogjeonya (working title), billed as the country's first entertainment program centered on inheritance.
