Modusea earns Billboard praise at KCON LA 2026, expanding global footprint to the US

Modusea wrapped a multi-stage run at KCON LA 2026, held August 14–16 at Crypto.com Arena and the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles. Billboard covered it.

On August 15, the group performed their debut track HOOK (훜) on the M Countdown Stage, then pivoted to One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful. Billboard singled out the set: "They led the entire audience in singing along and reinterpreted the British boy band's song with their own unique arrangement."

That wasn't all. Modusea also hit the Dance Stage and the red carpet, meeting fans from around the world. August 16 brought another Showcase stage slot.

Beyond the main stages, they ran a dedicated promotional booth across all three days and held a HOOK dance class at Offstage, a popular K-pop performance venue in the US. Running a dance class for your debut track at a US venue two days into a festival is bold.

The LA appearances mark Modusea's entry into the US market, joining South Korea, China, and Japan on their roster.
