Park Jin Young plays 3 roles, Kim Gyu Won's sub-characters shine on 'Jeon Cham Si' — peaks at 4.6% ratings

MBC's 전지적 참견 시점 peaked at 4.6% ratings on Aug. 1. Park Jin Young and comedian Kim Gyu Won split the highlights.

Park Jin Young showed up in multiple roles. The JYP Entertainment CEO and co-chair of the Presidential Committee for Cultural Exchange performed a new song while sporting 9.2% body fat in fluorescent clothing the show called striking. He also walked through the numbers on his company cafeteria: entirely organic ingredients, with kimchi alone costing 220 million won yearly. "While at the company, I wanted to feed them healthily like my own children," he said.

His management philosophy came up too. Bosses shouldn't make employees suffer just from trying to read the room, he argued. On Bang Si Hyuk, HIVE chairman and his first-ever employee, Park offered this: "He did not try to look good to me." Coming from PJY, that reads as the highest compliment. The episode also captured his visit to the Blue House, where he met Presidential Secretary for Administration Kang Hoon Suk and Culture Minister Choi Hwi Young to present the global K-culture project Phenomenon.

Kim Gyu Won held his own. The comedian—known as a "Young Ja's kid"—cycled through sub-characters: Baek Jong Won, a clinic deputy director, Jo Jjaejeu, and an improvised bit as "Dishonorable Englishwoman Charlotte." His backstory hit just as hard. After Comedy Big League was cancelled post-debut, he turned down an SNL writer offer and eventually carved out his current spot through crew auditions.

Next week, girl group LISENNE becomes the first act in the show's history to appear as a complete-group solo guest. The episode will cover their new dorm life, a dawn kalguksu eating broadcast, fan reverse-gift preparations, and candid member stories as they wrap up their current activities.
