Shin Seung-hun to headline Goyang Art Festival closing concert on Sept 20

Shin Seung-hun will close the 2026 Goyang Art Festival as headline act on September 20 at 7:30 PM at Hanul Square in Goyang Lake Park.

The 59-year-old confirmed the set will run over an hour with Shin Seung-hun Band. "I'm planning to do over an hour with Shin Seung-hun Band like a mini concert, so let's see each other's faces," he said. A 1,000-drone fireworks performance is scheduled after the show — he called it a reason to "enjoy the autumn evening" and make an outing of it.

The festival appearance comes roughly a year after he released his 12th regular album SINCERELY MELODIES in September 2025, which carried dual title tracks 너라는 중력 and TRULY. Earlier this year he ran the solo concert 2026 SHIN SEUNG HUN LIMITED EDITION at GS Art Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul across two weekends: April 10–12 and April 17–19, six performances total.

His track record spans three decades. He debuted in November 1990 with 미소 속에 비친 그대, and that first album moved 1.4 million copies. His second album title track 보이지 않는 사랑 logged 14 consecutive weeks at #1 on SBS and 31 total #1 positions across SBS, MBC, and KBS. The album cleared 1.6 million copies. His fifth regular album — home to 나보다 조금 더 높은 곳에 니가 있을 뿐 — sold approximately 2.47 million copies, ranking second in all-time single-album sales. Every one of his first 10 regular albums won the Golden Disc Award (본상).
