Shin Seung Hun headlines Goyang Lake Art Festival closing show with 1,000-drone light display

Shin Seung Hun takes the stage for the closing performance of the 2026 Goyang Lake Art Festival at Hanul Plaza, Goyang Lake Park, on September 20. The finale includes roughly 1,000 drones and a fireworks performance.

An hour before performing, he posted from his waiting area. "Goyang Lake Park is pretty," he wrote. "Being behind the stage, I got to see thousands of drones in person."

Earlier in 2026, he held the solo concert 2026 SHIN SEUNG HUN LIMITED EDITION at GS Art Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

17 million records and counting

Shin debuted in 1990 with 미소 속에 비친 그대. His second album, 보이지 않는 사랑, sold over 1.6 million copies and ran 14 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on SBS's music program. He accumulated 15 total No. 1 rankings on that show and 31 No. 1 finishes across music broadcasts. His fifth album, Shin Seung Hun V, moved 2.47 million copies.

Every album from his first through his seventh achieved million-seller status. The 2000 release Desire To Fly High contained "전설 속의 누군가처럼" and "엄마야" and sold over one million copies.

Cumulative album sales now exceed 17 million copies. On terrestrial music programs, he has logged 73 No. 1 rankings in total. As of 2016, he had performed more than 1,800 solo concerts. (The numbers are genuinely staggering for any era of Korean pop.)

His 12th studio album, SINCERELY MELODIES, arrived in September 2025. It features double title tracks "너라는 중력" and "TRULY," along with album cuts "내 방식대로의 사랑" and "운명."
