Son Dam-bi, 7 years off TV, promotes group buys on personal channel — and short-form drama filming is next
Son Dam-bi hasn't appeared on TV since 2019. These days she's selling health products through group buys on her personal channel—and now she's heading back to acting.
Seven years. That's how long Son Dam-bi has been away from broadcast television.
The singer-actress debuted solo in 2007 and had back-to-back hits with 미쳤어 and 토요일 밤에. Her last TV drama role came in 2019, when she played Hyangmi in KBS 2TV's 동백꽃 필 무렵. Nothing since.
Her personal channel became the replacement. After marrying speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk (이규혁) in May 2022 and having a daughter in April 2025, she started posting parenting clips, fashion, beauty tips, and group purchase deals.
The health product push was typical of her recent uploads. She sat in a casual t-shirt, camera-facing, and laid out the offer: gifts worth 16 million won at a 69% discount. "I want to say they're really giving all of this, and they've prepared so many benefits," she said.
Before the seven-year gap, she'd done 빛과 그림자, 가족끼리 왜 이래, and 미세스 캅 2. A solid mid-2010s run.
Now she's filming a short-form drama. Acting's back on.
