Soyeon of (G)I-DLE confirms solo comeback in early September 2026, first since 2021
(G)I-DLE's Soyeon is returning as a solo artist in early September 2026, roughly five years and two months after her debut mini-album 'Windy'.
Soyeon, leader and in-house producer of (G)I-DLE, has confirmed a solo comeback for early September 2026. Her last solo release was Windy, a debut mini-album from July 2021—a gap of approximately five years and two months.
The announcement comes after a busy stretch outside the group. She performed the solo track ICE BLUE RABBIT during (G)I-DLE's fourth world tour 2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation]. She contributed to the January 2026 digital single Mono (Feat. skaiwater) under the producer alias icebluerabbit. She also collaborated with American rapper Odetari and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Anderson .Paak.
In 2024, she was promoted to full member of the Korean Music Copyright Association and named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia list. Her writing credits inside (G)I-DLE include TOMBOY, Nxde, Queencard, and Fate.
