Soyeon of (G)I-DLE drops first solo full album '끝내주는 인생' on September 7
Soyeon drops her debut solo album on Sept. 7 at 6 PM—her first solo project in 5 years and 2 months.
Soyeon releases her first solo full-length album, 끝내주는 인생, on September 7 at 6 PM. It's been approximately 5 years and 2 months since her last solo release, the 2021 mini album Windy.
The title track is 퇴사할게여 (Narr. 기안84). Amigo (Feat. 민수) samples Madonna's "Like a Virgin." The album also includes Bankroll, 그냥 사랑하면 안 될까, and 낭만 보내기. Two tracks—STAR and 야채 싫어 송—premiered live at Waterbomb Sokcho 2026 on August 22.
The momentum started building in January. Soyeon contributed to (G)I-DLE's digital single Mono (Feat. skaiwater) under the producer alias "icebluerabbit," the same name she used for a song performed during the group's world tour.
As (G)I-DLE's leader and main producer, Soyeon has writing and production credits on LATATA, DUMDi DUMDi, and Queencard. She became a full member of the Korean Music Copyright Association in 2024. The group's fourth world tour, Syncopation, opened at Seoul KSPO Dome in February. (G)I-DLE became the first K-pop girl group to perform at Taipei Dome and played Lollapalooza Chicago in July.
