Wendy hit her 2nd anniversary as DJ of 'Wendy's Young Street' on Aug 19, weeks after Red Velvet's 'Velvet Summer' topped iTunes in 17 regions.

August 19 marked two years since Wendy joined SBS Power FM's Wendy's Young Street as DJ.
To her listeners—fans call themselves '완소' (Wanso)—she said: "I would be truly happy if it remains a warm space where we can share joy, sadness, and loneliness together." She singled out the production team: "The production staff are the ones who look into the hearts of Wanso before anyone else from behind and create each day of Wendy's Young Street." The show includes segments like Young's Labs, Young's Maps, and the guest interview corner Young's, What a Surprise?
The timing is hectic. Red Velvet released mini album Velvet Summer on August 3, with every track hitting major domestic charts like Melon and Bugs. Abroad, it claimed #1 on iTunes Top Albums in 17 regions—Denmark, Sweden, Chile, Peru among them—and cracked the top 10 in 33 regions total.
Three days before the radio anniversary, she appeared as a featured artist on JUN. K's digital single Your Lips. Two releases in three weeks.
Last year, Wendy won the Radio DJ – Female category at the 2025 Brand of the Year Awards, her first major recognition in the DJ role.
