First win, three years in the making
82MAJOR — Namseongmo, Park Seokjun, Yun Yechan, Jo Sungil, Hwang Sungbin, and Kim Dogyun — took the top trophy on MBC M and MBC every1's Show Champion on September 9. Three years after debut. The win rode Like Fire, the title track from their second single album HEAT.
First-week physical sales hit 150,000 copies. A new high. On streaming, the track entered the Melon Hot 100 and topped Bugs' real-time chart.
International chart run
Like Fire landed at No. 3 on Spain's iTunes Top Songs chart. It placed in the upper tiers of K-pop charts in Germany, the UK, Australia, and Canada. The track appeared across multiple charts on China's NetEase Music.
82MAJOR performed Like Fire on KBS 2TV's Music Bank on September 11. Three years of grinding, then the charts just open up. They continue their run on MBC's Show! Music Core on September 12.
