82MAJOR's 'HEAT' tops charts and breaks their own sales record with 150K first-week copies
Three years after debut, 82MAJOR claimed their first music broadcast No. 1 with 'HEAT', moving 150,000 copies of the second single—then teased B-side 'wyd?'
150K copies and a first broadcast win
82MAJOR's second single HEAT dropped September 1 and sold 150,000 copies in its first week. A new personal record for the six-member group. The title track Like Fire hit No. 1 on major domestic music charts and cracked the TOP100, charting across Spain, Germany, and the UK while landing in China's NetEase Music upper tier.
Their 쇼챔피언 comeback stage delivered the prize: a first-ever music broadcast No. 1, three years on from their October 11, 2023 debut. That same performance marked the live debut of B-side 오늘 어때 (wyd?), a track the group had kept off stage until then.
'wyd?' teaser and what the track is
September 15 brought the MV teaser for 오늘 어때 (wyd?) across the group's official SNS and YouTube. Shot entirely in Hong Kong. The track sits on a pastel bounce hip-hop beat and captures that moment when you casually let someone know you're interested.
Nam Seong-mo, Park Seok-jun, and Yoon Ye-chan wrote and composed it; Yoon Ye-chan also arranged. Three of six members credited on a B-side is substantial. The full MV arrives September 17 at 6 PM through the same channels.
Concert in October
82MAJOR's sixth solo concert, 82CLUB : out of control, runs October 24 and 25 at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
