aespa draws 21,000 in São Paulo — 2.5x their 2023 crowd — as world tour hits South America
aespa's SYNK : COMPL&XITY tour sold out São Paulo and Santiago back-to-back. Twenty-five more regions ahead through February 2027.
21,000 in São Paulo, 13,000 in Santiago
aespa played Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu in São Paulo on September 4 (local time) to approximately 21,000 fans. Two days later they filled Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile—roughly 13,000 seats.
The São Paulo crowd looks different next to where they were three years ago. On September 11, 2023, aespa sold out Espaço Unimed in the same city. Capacity: 8,000. This time they moved to a larger venue and pulled 2.5 times that number.
Gocheok, Lollapalooza, and an eighth million-seller
The South American dates sit inside a tour that's already hit some major moments. SYNK : COMPL&XITY opened at Gocheok Sky Dome with 35,000 fans across two days. aespa and BLACKPINK are the only K-pop girl groups to have performed there.
At Lollapalooza Chicago, the group ran through 14 songs with a full band. Their second full-length album LEMONADE crossed one million copies sold—their eighth million-selling release. Last month they also dropped "Switchblade," a collaboration with hip-hop artist Ty Dolla $ign.
