뻔푸소년CIIU wraps debut anniversary fan meeting in Shanghai one year after JYP China launch
뻔푸소년CIIU, JYP China's five-member boy group, marked one year since their August 2025 debut with a Shanghai fan meeting, a Hong Kong awards show performance, and their first mini album.

One year in, Shanghai shows up
JYP China's boy group 뻔푸소년CIIU (Closer to You) held their debut first-anniversary fan meeting in Shanghai on August 29. The event, titled 盛夏天台派对 ("Midsummer Rooftop Party"), featured the five-member lineup: Luo Yan (뤄옌), Huang Wenjin (황원진), Bai Yuanhao (바이위안하오), Wang Tianyi (왕티엔이), and Liu Zehong (류저흥). They performed a band version of Closer, their latest title track, along with fan favorites and solo stages from each member.
The group debuted on August 22, 2025, with their first EP 我们的出发 ("Our Departure"). Exactly one year later—August 22, 2026—they took the stage at the 2026 TIMA (TMELive International Music Awards) in Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium. The setlist included new album track 一步一步 (Step By Step) and a remixed version of Closer.
First mini album and the C-Tro Pop pitch
Closer To 'You' (靠近·你) dropped August 4. It's their first mini album, and the title track Closer anchors what the group calls C-Tro Pop—Chinese Newtro Pop. They describe it as retro Chinese sensibility meets contemporary pop.
JYP launched the group under a localization strategy for the Chinese-speaking market. The comeback came with an offline push: special performances and fan events across six regions in China, done in partnership with theme park brand Fangte (方特). They also signed on as brand models for electric bicycle label Xinyi Electric Vehicle (신일전동차).
