D.O. announces fourth mini album 'DOPAMINE', dropping September 8

D.O. (도경수) is coming back with his fourth mini album DOPAMINE, set to drop September 8 at 6 PM across online music platforms.

One year ago he released the digital single DUMB in September 2025. His first full-length album BLISS came out in July 2025.

Five tracks, one clear direction

DOPAMINE has five tracks. Dancing Party layers rhythmic acoustic guitar over jazz chords. Don't You reimagines 1970s punk for a modern ear. The title track Guitarist sits on an R&B and soul base with restrained rhythm and guitar. Dear opens on gentle piano, then expands into guitar and strings. Sing It Loud brings a band sound with bright, refreshing melody.

Title track Guitarist reunites D.O. with PENOMECO, who co-wrote Fit and DUMB with him before. PENOMECO handled lyrics this time. The label describes the song as capturing the excitement between two people.

The album concept spans R&B, acoustic, disco, and ballad. It's built around feelings of everyday excitement, love quietly seeping in, and what the label calls "subtle pleasure blooming within."

The highlight medley is a 360-degree video

D.O. dropped the highlight medley September 4 at midnight on official SNS channels. The video was shot in 360-degree format, with objects and spaces arranged to match each track's atmosphere. Scenes shift depending on when you start playback—watch it more than once and you'll catch something new.

Blitzway Music said the format was designed to convey "DOPAMINE's mood with each track's different texture in a more three-dimensional way."
