A reunion six weeks in the making
Hyolyn and rapper Mad Clown are back together. ChecK Remix (feat. Mad Clown) dropped on September 8 at 6 PM KST, arriving roughly seven weeks after Hyolyn released her fourth mini album OriginaLyn on July 22 with ChecK as the title track.
Mad Clown's verse rides the original's trendy beats and sensual sound, but shifts the whole thing into a different gear. His rap sits against Hyolyn's cool, powerful vocals in a fresh arrangement that feels like a complete reimagining.
Not their first time
They've done this before. Multiple times. The two have worked together on Mad Clown's 견딜만해, and Hyolyn's 스토커 and 없던 이유. At this point they might as well have a standing studio arrangement. This remix just adds another entry to a catalog of collaborations that spans both their careers.
