The trot star opened up about the pressures of public life in a September 3 YouTube video. Her songwriter alter ego '장공장장' released a new track on August 20.

Jang Yun-jeong didn't mince words in a new YouTube video: celebrity life is exhausting. On September 3, she uploaded 대표를 왜 하세요? ("Why Are You a CEO?") to her channel 장공장장윤정. The video brought together business executives she'd met through the web variety show 네고왕 for a candid office conversation. Jang did not hold back.
"Living as a celebrity feels like living in a bathroom made of glass," she said. She acknowledged what outsiders often think — "if I made that much money, I would just endure it" — and agreed: "Honestly, that's true."
The self-scrutiny runs deeper. Jang described crossing at a crosswalk even at dawn, even when the traffic light is off. "In case someone sees me and is disappointed," she explained. She commits to living as a good person because fans attach great meaning to her. They'd be let down if she acted carelessly.
Jang Yun-jeong won the grand prize at the 20th Gangbyeon Gayo Festival in 1999. Her hits followed: 어머나!, 꽃, 초혼, 이따 이따요, 짠짜라. She became one of trot's defining voices.
These days she operates as a songwriter under the alias 장공장장. Her credits include 진짜배기 (이명화), 녹아 버려요 (박지현), and 이런 날 기다렸나요 (김희재). On August 20, she released 하늘에 under that same alias.
The video also surfaced a fan story: someone who became a fan after hearing 꽃 later recovered their health and remains connected to Jang to this day. That kind of story is exactly why the crosswalk thing makes sense.
