Jo Hang-jo drops 'Ganheok' on September 10, a trot ballad written and composed by veteran singer-songwriter Choi Baek-ho.

Jo Hang-jo released new single Ganheok at noon on September 10 across online music platforms, with the track marking a collaboration between two of Korean trot's most established names.
Choi Baek-ho — known by the nickname nangman gaek ("romantic troubadour") — wrote and composed Ganheok, while Jo Hang-jo handled vocals. Arrangers 안동열 (Ahn Dong-yeol) and 김광록 (Kim Gwang-rok) also worked on the track. Ganheok is described as a sensibility trot ballad about past relationships and longing that surface unexpectedly while going about daily life.
Choi Baek-ho debuted in 1977 and has built a career spanning performance, lyric writing, and composition. Jo Hang-jo's back catalogue includes hits Namjaraeneun Iyuro, Manyage, Sarang Chaja Insaeng Chaja, and Gomawo. (Two artists, one song — the kind of pairing that doesn't need a press release to sell itself.)
Jo Hang-jo has been sustaining activity through both new releases and a nationwide tour. Ganheok is the latest addition to that run.
