Lee Chan-won wraps nationwide tour, continues as MC on Immortal Songs in 2026
Trot singer Lee Chan-won wrapped his 'Chan-ga: A Brilliant Day' tour with a Seoul encore and stays put as MC on KBS2's Immortal Songs.
From 'Mr. Trot' finalist to half-million seller
Lee Chan-won, 29, has been one of trot's busiest names since placing third on Mr. Trot in 2020. His debut came via the OST Siyeol Inyeon. Then came Convenience Store in 2021—his first single and his first music-broadcast No. 1. His second single, A Really Good Day, he wrote and composed himself.
The first mini-album ..Seonmul won him the New Artist Award in the Album category at the 11th Gaon Chart Music Awards. His regular second album Chanran (燦爛) went further. First-week sales hit 610,000 copies, making it three consecutive half-million sellers.
200 minutes on stage, city by city
The nationwide tour Chan-ga: A Brilliant Day ran through the first half of 2026. Stops in Gwangju and Daejeon came first, then Seoul wrapped the run. Each show clocked roughly 200 minutes, built around Chanran tracks and signature stage songs remixed into customized medleys.
Beyond the tour, Lee Chan-won kept moving. He appeared on the MBN/Channel S variety show Jeon Hyun-moo's Plan 4 for a Daegu gourmet travel episode. He continues as MC on KBS2's Immortal Songs: Singing Legends into 2026.
"Following last week, I'm coming to 'Immortal Songs' today. Enjoy the handsome Chan-won and the famous song stage," he said, pointing fans to the KBS2 broadcast at 6:05 PM.
The fandom and the giving
His official fan club, CHAN's (찬스), holds a double meaning: "Lee Chan-won's" and "Lee Chan-won's fans." The idea is that he and his fans become good opportunities in each other's lives. On his birthday, November 1, 2020, he donated over 200 million won to Love Snail (사랑의 달팽이), an organization supporting hearing-impaired individuals in finding sound and adapting socially.
